About Elena
I grew up in Helena, MT watching my mom garden. I didn’t really enjoy helping her as a child, but I did LOVE picking flowers.
After learning more about plants in college, I became completely enamored. Since then, I’ve been devoted to understanding as much as I can about plants and how people interact with them.
My first and middle names together mean “Light (Elena) Song (Chantel).” I’m proud to use the name given to me by my mother, Martha Johnson (1954–2019), to share her legacy of love and gardening with you.
Let's grow together!
