Meadow/Pollinator Border

After removing a gnarly old juniper border, these clients needed something to fill the empty space. They were looking for a low-maintenance, low-water alternative that would provide pollen for their honeybees and add curb appeal to their home.

After Freedom Fabrication added topsoil and metal edging, we created an ornamental pollinator border along the driveway to feed the honeybees. A native meadow strip was planted along the street to enhance the ecological benefits of the landscape by feeding native bees that often have a more specialized diet. The deep native grass roots also capture runoff from the lawn, allowing it to infiltrate and remain on site.
